Job summary

Jobtailor in Warsaw seeks an experienced operations professional to monitor and troubleshoot equipment across multiple jurisdictions while following 24x7 procedures, SLAs, and IT best practices. Job description

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot operating equipment for one or more jurisdictions while adhering to 24x365 operational procedures, checklists, policies, SLAs, and IT best practices
• Build effective daily partnerships with customers, understand their requirements, and work to meet or exceed customer expectations
• Troubleshoot systems and servers involving host systems, middleware, applications, tools, network technologies, and automated functions
• Monitor networks, systems, servers, logical security, and automated functions; detect, report, elevate, and document anomalies
• Execute, validate, recover, track, and follow up on operational processes including draw processing, day-end processing, system balancing, file-system maintenance, change requests, transfers, deliveries, messaging, jackpot details, and customer requests
• Coordinate and upscale internal and external customer requests according to established guidelines
• Submit recommendations for operational procedures and checklists
• Support local testing policies and procedures
• Complete professional-development activities and communicate career goals
• Train other operators and provide informal coaching and mentoring to junior operators

Requirements

• Two-year technical college degree or comparable experience
• 1–2 years’ experience in a related field preferred
• Ability to monitor and troubleshoot multiple technologies where applicable
• Ability to navigate Unix/Linux/AIX/VMS/DOS and perform basic commands
• Working knowledge of FTP/SFTP protocols
• Comprehensive knowledge of Office suite and PC operating systems
• Intermediate knowledge of Retailer POS, call center tools
• Strong written and verbal customer-appropriate communication skills
• Ability to listen effectively and demonstrate empathy when handling customer concerns
• Experience dealing with difficult or demanding customers
• Effective technical writing and professional presentation skills
• Ability to organize, plan, balance priorities, and complete accurate work on time
