Job summary

ZF Group in Wrocław seeks a Commodity Supplier Quality Engineer – Casting to shape supplier quality and drive continuous improvement across global networks. You will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure readiness, containment, and 8D processes while supporting strategic purchasing initiatives.

The role requires a technical engineering degree, experience in automotive supply, and strong English communication. Hybrid work is offered in a dynamic, international setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in technical/mechanical/industrial engineering or comparable studies.
• Several years of automotive/business related industry experience.
• Knowledge of quality tools (APQP, 8D/QR6S, FMEA, MSA, VDA6.3) and experience in castings or machining.
• High motivation and reliable decision making.
• Project management skills and strong communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel for business.
• Excellent English communication skills and strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute Divisional Supplier Quality Strategy.
• Assist supplier escalation Level 1 and Q-Performance escalations, per EL2 framework.
• Drive supplier readiness activities and achieve maturity within projects and regions.
• Manage supplier complaints, containment, and 8D activities at regional suppliers.
• Represent Supplier Quality End-to-End for assigned suppliers.
• Drive continuous improvement, audits, CIP, and lessons learned implementation.
• Support purchasing strategies with programs and commodity teams.
• Coordinate SNCC collection and escalation with purchasing.

What you can look forward to as Commodity Supplier Quality Engineer – Casting (m/f/d):

• Supporting and executing Divisional Supplier Quality Strategy;
• Supporting supplier escalation Level 1 doing EL2 Q-Performance Escalations regarding his suppliers;
• Responsible for Supplier readiness activities and achievement of expected maturity level within Projects (Customer but also internal) regarding commodity / regional suppliers;
• Responsible for supplier complaint management and protection of ZF Production sites within or outside its region including containment activities and 8D Management onsite at regional suppliers;
• Represents Supplier Quality E2E regarding assigned suppliers;
• Implementation for continuous improvement regarding assigned suppliers and also global Lessons Learned implementation, e.g. regular Audits, Q- Initiatives, CIP, preventive activities;
• Supporting of purchasing strategies (e.g. PFS, …) together with program, commodity purchasing, and related department;
• Responsible for SNCC collection and supported within escalation by purchasing.

Your profile as Commodity Supplier Quality Engineer – Casting (m/f/d):

• Successfully completed degree in technical/mechanical/industrial engineering or comparable studies and several years’ work experience within automotive/business related industry;
• Knowledge of quality tools (APQP, 8D/ QR6S, FMEA, MSA… VDA6,3) and experience in one of technologies (Castings and Machining);
• High level of motivation, strong and reliable decision making-capabilities;
• Project management skills;
• Team and communication skills;
• Willingness for business travel;
• Very good communication skills in English;
• Problem solving skills.
