Job summary

Remitly Poland Sp. z o.o. seeks a Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate Remitly's AWS cloud foundation. You will focus on network topology, Terraform infrastructure, and multi-account governance to support product teams and AI agents.

You will work with SRE, Security, and Platform teams; participate in on-call rotations and enjoy a hybrid, on-site culture with a Kraków office and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• Cloud networking design and troubleshooting across AWS.
• Hands-on infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• 3+ years in cloud engineering with AWS depth.
• Experience with production infra and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with edge services (CloudFront, WAF, Shield) or Direct Connect.
• Interest in Go and coding on the job.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve cloud networking in Terraform for multi-account/multi-region topology.
• Own and operate partner/bank connectivity network (VPN, Direct Connect, BGP).
• Operate edge infrastructure (CloudFront, Shield, WAF) and CDN failover strategies.
• Troubleshoot network issues across distributed cloud environments.
• Write modular Terraform and improve infrastructure through code.
• Deliver end-to-end infrastructure work and ship high-quality changes.
• Contribute to multi-account governance and tooling to reduce cognitive load.
• Collaborate with SRE, Security, and Platform teams to embed observability and compliance.
• Participate in on-call rotation (5-person weekly) with occasional late CET syncs.
