Job summary

Vertex Agility is seeking a Technical Delivery Lead to own delivery in a Google Cloud-based, open-source oriented stack. The role blends leadership with hands-on engineering across Java, Python, Node.js, and React, championing security integrated in the CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure-as-code practices.

You will guide a multi-disciplinary team, manage dependencies, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining platform stability.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years building software with hands-on coding in two or more languages.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud and container workloads.
• Proven track record leading mixed engineering teams in Scrum or Kanban.
• Security embedded in delivery, secret management and code-based controls.
• Comfort with infrastructure-as-code, especially Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery from concept to production, surfacing architectural risk early.
• Automate security controls inside the pipeline and define done.
• Run sprint health and unblock the team with actual signals.
• Balance fast shipping with platform stability and reduce pressure on the team.
• Lead code reviews, debugging Terraform, and handle live production issues.
• Guide shift to open-source replacements and evaluate tooling choices.
• Track dependencies and keep stakeholders aligned across initiatives.
• Use DORA metrics to demonstrate improvement and stalled areas.
