Job summary

Luxoft in Kraków is seeking a software engineer to join the ACQA Engines Crew, part of the IB Risk Technology Stream. The role focuses on a cloud-native analytics and risk platform called ACQA, with Python as the core language and opportunities in Java/Scala, Spark, and Azure for big data processing.

You will work in an agile, DevOps-oriented environment delivering robust, scalable software for risk and PnL management in investment banking.

Qualifications

• Deep software engineering background with exposure to multiple programming paradigms.
• Experience developing in Python at scale and testing with multiple frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Spark and large data processing, plus JVM language experience.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of derivative risk, pricing, and risk-to-PnL workflows.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a cloud-native analytics and risk platform (ACQA).
• Design, develop, test, and deploy production-grade software for risk and PnL.
• Collaborate with traders, risk managers and finance users in an agile setup.
• Leverage PySpark/Spark and JVM languages to process large datasets.
• Promote DevOps practices and proper developer experience.
