Job summary

SoftwareMind is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own test automation and quality across native iOS/Android apps and the web portal. You will define test strategy, develop automated tests, and ensure release quality in close collaboration with developers and architects to improve product reliability.

You will validate authentication, session management, location services and push notifications on real devices, ensure accessibility and multilingual support, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of test automation across native iOS, Android, and web portals.
• Design and maintain automation frameworks and test suites.
• Functional, regression, API and end-to-end testing.

Project - the aim you'll have

This project is for a global leader in medical and travel security risk services. It helps organisations protect their people wherever they work and travel. You'll join a dedicated mobile team that is rewriting the client's traveller-facing apps, part of the Subscriber Portal, from React Native to fully native iOS and Android. Travellers and expatriates use these apps to get location-based medical and security alerts, read country risk information, check in, and reach 24/7 assistance centres in one tap. The backend is already in place. As the team's Senior QA Engineer, you'll own test automation and quality across the native apps and the web portal. That includes making sure the new native apps match or improve on the current ones. When someone is in a crisis abroad, the app has to work the first time.

• 5+ years of experience in test automation across native iOS and Android applications and web portals.
• Proven ability to design and maintain automation frameworks, own test suites and ensure release quality.
• Experience with functional, regression, API and end-to-end testing.
• Experience testing responsive interfaces, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility and localisation.
• Experience validating location services, push notifications, authentication and session management.
• Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience supporting production applications, investigating defects and performing root cause analysis.
• Ability to work closely with developers and architects to improve quality and testability.
• Experience with Scrum, Jira and Confluence.
• Strong attention to detail, communication and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to continuous learning.
• Experience validating backend data corrections and migrations using queries or scripts.
• English at C1 - the working language with the client.
