Job summary

Software Mind seeks a proficient iOS developer to join a dedicated mobile team rebuilding native iOS applications for a global client in a security-focused domain. You will work on end-to-end features, from integration to deployment, ensuring fast, secure, and accessible experiences.

The role requires 3+ years of Swift/iOS experience, strong concurrency knowledge, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of native iOS development experience with Swift and SwiftUI.
• Solid understanding of Swift concurrency (async/await, actors, data race prevention).
• Experience implementing location services and push notifications.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0/OIDC, session management and secure credential storage.
• Experience integrating third-party frameworks.
• Hands-on experience writing and maintaining unit and UI tests.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to own features end to end and resolve incidents.
• Experience collaborating with architects and reviewing code.
• Familiarity with Scrum, Jira and Confluence.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; English C1.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the native iOS application using Swift and SwiftUI.

• Ensure the app is user-friendly, fast, and adapts to different screens and devices.
• Optimize performance, stability and scalability of the app.
• Implement authentication, session management and secure data storage.

• Investigate and resolve production issues including crash analysis and hotfixes.
• Set up app monitoring and analytics; contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Localize the app into multiple languages and provide accessibility support.
• Write and maintain unit and UI tests; review peers' code; contribute to technical design.
• Document features and update internal knowledge base.

Job Description

Project – the aim you’ll have
This project is for a global leader in medical and travel security risk services, helping organisations protect their people wherever they work and travel. You’ll join a dedicated mobile team rebuilding the client’s traveller-facing apps, part of the Subscriber Portal, as fully native iOS and Android applications to replace the existing React Native versions. Travellers and expatriates use these apps to receive location-based medical and security alerts, access country risk information, check in, and contact 24/7 assistance centres with a single tap. The backend is already in place, allowing the team to focus on building a fast, secure and accessible native experience. When someone faces a crisis abroad, the app needs to work reliably when it matters most.

Role – how you’ll contribute

• Develop and maintain the native iOS application using the latest Swift and SwiftUI. Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code;
• Collaborate with product managers, backend developers, designers, and other stakeholders on requirements review, suggest solutions and estimate efforts to build user-friendly applications;
• Ensure that the mobile application is user friendly, efficient, and adaptive to different screen sizes and device models;
• Optimise the application for maximum speed, stability and scalability;
• Implement authentication, session management and secure data storage to enterprise security standards;
• Implement location-based features and location-triggered push notifications;
• Investigate and resolve production issues, including crash analysis, root cause analysis and hotfixes
• Implement app monitoring and analytics;
• Implement app localisation in multiple languages and accessibility support;
• Write and maintain unit and UI test cases, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines;
• Take ownership of features and modules end to end, review peers' code against team standards, and contribute to technical design discussions;
• Update internal knowledge base and operational documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience writing and maintaining unit and UI tests;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines;
• Proven ability to own features end to end, support production applications and resolve incidents;
• Experience working closely with architects and reviewing other engineers’ code;
• Familiarity with Scrum, Jira and Confluence;
• Strong attention to detail, communication and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to continuous learning;
• English at C1 – the working language with the client.
