Software Mind is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer (Mobile & Web) to lead automation across native iOS/Android apps and the web portal. You will own test strategy, design robust automation frameworks, and ensure release quality through continuous integration and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will validate authentication, session management, location features, and multilingual support, contributing to high-quality, scalable products for global clients.

Qualifications

Project - the aim you’ll have

This project is for a global leader in medical and travel security risk services. It helps organisations protect their people wherever they work and travel. You’ll join a dedicated mobile team that is rewriting the client’s traveller-facing apps, part of the Subscriber Portal, from React Native to fully native iOS and Android. Travellers and expatriates use these apps to get location-based medical and security alerts, read country risk information, check in, and reach 24/7 assistance centres in one tap. The backend is already in place. As the team’s Senior QA Engineer, you’ll own test automation and quality across the native apps and the web portal. That includes making sure the new native apps match or improve on the current ones. When someone is in a crisis abroad, the app has to work the first time.

Role - how you’ll contribute

• Own test strategy, automation and release validation for native iOS/Android apps and the web portal;
• Develop and maintain functional, regression and end-to-end automated tests;
• Validate authentication, session management and secure data handling;
• Test location features and push notifications on real devices;
• Integrate automated tests and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines;
• Investigate production issues, validate hotfixes and expand regression coverage;
• Collaborate on requirements, test planning and estimation;
• Verify compatibility, accessibility and multilingual support across platforms;
• Validate application data following backend changes and migrations;
• Track defects, coverage and quality metrics, and maintain test documentation.

Expectations - the experience you need

• 5+ years of experience in test automation across native iOS and Android applications and web portals;
• Proven ability to design and maintain automation frameworks, own test suites and ensure release quality;
• Experience with functional, regression, API and end-to-end testing;
• Experience validating location services, push notifications, authentication and session management;
• Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines;
• Experience supporting production applications, investigating defects and performing root cause analysis;
• Ability to work closely with developers and architects to improve quality and testability;
• Experiencewith Scrum, Jira and Confluence;
• Strong attention to detail, communication and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to continuous learning;
• Experience validating backend data corrections and migrations using queries or scripts;
• English at C1 - the working language with the client.
