Job summary

Dearest Care is seeking a hands-on Director of Clinical Operations to lead our clinical team, own quality, and scale patient care with AI-enabled tools. This remote role reports to the VP of Operations and focuses on a measurable, month-over-month improvement of care standards.

You will define metrics, monitor quality, coach teams, and collaborate with Product/Engineering to embed standards in workflows, while maintaining HIPAA-compliant practices and an audit-ready operation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in clinical operations, care delivery, or healthcare quality, including 3+ years leading managers or team leads.
• Experience running high-volume care operations with staffing models, caseloads, service levels, and QA programs.
• Proven ability to build quality or performance-management systems from scratch: standards, rubrics, calibration, escalation.
• Proficient with SQL and BI tools (e.g., Metabase) and able to work with complex datasets.

Responsibilities

• Own quality end-to-end, defining a 10-star patient experience as the north star.
• Lead advocates, nurses, and care coordinators through their team leads: hiring, onboarding, performance management, growth.
• Define quality and patient-experience metrics with sources of truth and maintain them under pressure.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to embed standards into workflows and turn quality issues into product requirements.
