A game development studio is seeking a Character Artist to focus on character customization for their upcoming game. The role involves creating and integrating character assets, including realistic clothing and hairstyles, primarily using Unreal Engine. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in character design, a strong technical understanding of character pipelines, and excellent English communication skills. This position offers a fully remote work model with flexible hours and strong creative ownership.
We’re looking for a Character Artist to join our team as we move into full production on our debut game Ardem, an open world survival game developed in Unreal Engine 5.
In this role, you will focus on character customization systems, clothing, and character related assets built on top of Unreal Engine MetaHumans. Rather than creating characters from scratch, you will work closely with the team on our character editor, helping to shape how players customize their characters through facial sliders, blend shapes, hairstyles, and modular clothing systems. The role requires a strong technical understanding of character pipelines, a keen eye for realism, and a collaborative mindset.
