Job summary

Hitachi ABB Power Grids is seeking a Business R&D Experienced Professional to join the CDSe Domain Expert team. The role focuses on developing and enhancing distribution and dry transformer design platforms, ensuring quality and performance within deadlines and budgets.

You will collaborate with global teams, prepare specifications, validate features, and support end users and factories. A strong foundation in electrical engineering and Agile practices is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of PGTR experience (preferably in GPG DT).
• Strong knowledge of transformer design principles, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of software development processes and Agile framework.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Support CDSe platform development and maintenance for Distribution Transformers.
• Lead development and implementation of transformers for special applications (e.g., Rectifiers, VSDs, Solar, Wind & BESS).
• Prepare software specifications and collaborate with developers for implementation.
• Verify accuracy of implemented features and conduct thorough testing.
• Provide training materials and deliver trainings to end users.
• Monitor feedback and escalate issues via tickets to improve platform performance.
• Collaborate with factories and Hub engineering to expedite CDS implementation.
