Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a CDSe Domain Expert to join the Common Design System team. You will support platform development for Distribution Transformers, lead projects for special applications, and collaborate with factories worldwide to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.

The role requires strong transformer design knowledge, experience with PGTR, and ability to prepare technical drawings and documentation. English communication is essential in a globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of related experience in PGTR (preferably in GPG DT).
• Strong knowledge of transformer design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with transformers for special applications (BESS, renewables, rectifiers).
• Experience in preparing technical documentation including drawings (AutoCAD).
• Understanding of software development process and agile framework.

Responsibilities

• Support CDSe platform development and maintenance for Distribution Transformers incorporating latest standards and technological advancements.
• Lead development and implementation of transformers for special applications (Rectifiers, VSDs, Solar, Wind & BESS).
• Prepare software specifications, collaborate with developers for implementation and verify features.
• Assist factories and end users, handle tickets, and conduct user trainings.
• Deliver test cases and lead test sessions with end users to assure platform quality.
• Test and validate the design platform for accuracy and reliability.
• Prepare training materials and provide technical support to end users.
• Monitor hotline requests and address user feedback to improve performance.
• Collaborate with Hub engineering to expedite CDS implementation in factories.
• Contribute to a multicultural CDS community with innovative solutions.

We are currently seeking a Business R&D Experienced Professional to join our innovative and forward-thinking Common Design System team as CDSe Domain Expert. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of distribution and dry transformers design platform, ensuring that solutions meet the highest standards of quality and performance while adhering to strict deadlines and budgets. This is a high-impact role with excellent opportunities to work and collaborate with multicultural teams and factories spread globally.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Support CDSe platform development and maintenance for Distribution Transformers incorporating latest standards and technological advancements.
• Lead development and implementation of transformers for special applications e.g. Rectifiers, VSDs, Solar, Wind & BESS etc.
• Prepare software specification, collaborate with developers for their implementation and verify accuracy of implemented features.
• Support factories and end users (e.g. handling tickets, training for users), have regular meetings with factories to understand their needs and pain points.
• Deliver testcases to assure sustainable quality of CDS platform, lead test sessions with end users.

Your background

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 2+ Years of related experience in PGTR (preferably in GPG DT).
• Strong knowledge of transformer design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Solid knowledge about distribution transformers and portfolio of products in PGTR GPG DT.
• Experience with transformers for special applications e.g. BESS, Renewables and rectifiers
• Experience in preparing technical documentation including drawings (e.g. AutoCAD).
• Understanding of software development process and agile framework.
• Pro‑active attitude, self‑motivated and with a strong sense of ownership
• Ability to work independently based upon set goals and objectives.
• Ability to plan and execute in a timely manner with high quality.
• Problem solving & analytical skills.
• Interaction and communication with users and team members – experience in working in groups to achieve common target.
• Communication Skills – Must have good verbal and written English language skills.
