Job summary

Talan in Wroclaw, Poland, is seeking a Calypso Business Analyst/Functional Analyst to join a newly formed team supporting the capital markets ecosystem of a major European banking client. The role focuses on bridging business requirements with technical teams and driving Calypso enhancements across trading, risk, and post-trade processes.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services.
• Experience working with the Calypso platform.
• Strong understanding of Capital Markets products and trade lifecycle processes.
• Experience gathering and documenting functional and business requirements.
• Ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, or Operations workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English: C1 proficiency

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements related to Calypso.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, and Operations teams.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
• Participate in the design and implementation of Calypso enhancements and new functionalities.
• Support incident analysis and resolution in cooperation with technical teams.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and development teams.
• Assist with testing activities, including SIT, UAT, and production validation.
• Contribute to process optimization initiatives across Capital Markets operations.
• Support system upgrades, releases, and platform transformation projects.
