Job summary

SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA in Warsaw is seeking a Technical Leader to guide architecture and engineering for critical FX, Rates, and Credit trading applications. You will stay hands-on, drive design decisions, and mentor a globally distributed team.

fluency in English is required; experience in Capital Markets and Blazor WebAssembly exposure are a plus. The role combines leadership with active development in a hybrid Warsaw office.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in C#/.NET and REST APIs with ASP.NET Core.
• Experience designing scalable microservices and cloud architecture (Azure preferred).
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions and modern observability.
• Excellent communication with business stakeholders; global collaboration.
• Capital Markets knowledge (FX, Rates, Credit) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and technical design of major initiatives and products.
• Stay hands-on as a software engineer contributing to complex solutions.
• Lead code reviews, promote engineering best practices, mentor engineers.

Job description

Responsibilities

As a Technical Leader based in Warsaw, you will join a globally distributed team supporting business stakeholders across Paris, Hong Kong, and New York. You will contribute to the Agile development of business-critical applications supporting FX, Rates, and Credit trading activities, with a focus on volatility products and pricing. This role combines technical leadership with hands‑on development. You will drive architecture and engineering decisions, work directly with traders to address business challenges, and help deliver scalable, high-quality solutions in a global environment.

Your future scope of responsibility will cover:

• Technical Architecture & Design: You’ll own the architecture and the technical design of new products and major initiatives
• Hands‑on Development: You’ll remain an active software engineer and contribute directly to the design and development of complex solutions
• Technical Leadership: You’ll lead code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and support the technical growth of the team
• Hiring & Mentoring: You’ll participate in technical recruitment of software engineers and you’ll mentor them through their onboarding
• Continuous Improvement: You’ll drive technology modernization initiatives and explore new technical approaches, including AI‑assisted solutions
• Business Partnership & Production Support: You’ll work closely with Traders to understand business requirements, deliver practical solutions and support the investigation and resolution of production issues
• Global Teamwork: You’ll collaborate with teams distributed globally, across Warsaw, Paris, Hong Kong, and New York

Profile required

• You have strong hands‑on experience with C#/.NET environment (primarily .NET 8,9,10), building REST APIs with ASP.NET Core and designing scalable microservices‑based applications
• You have experience in Cloud architecture (preferable Azure with AKS/Kubernetes, Event Hubs, Blob/Table Storage), as well as working with GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous delivery practices
• You are familiar with modern observability and monitoring practices, including ElasticSearch, Kibana, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and structured logging frameworks such as Serilog
• You have hands‑on experience in technical leadership capacity, conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, and participating in technical hiring and interview processes
• You have strong communication skills. You are comfortable working directly with business stakeholders/clients and you thrive in a global work environment
• You are fluent in English
• Experience in Capital Markets, particularly Credit, FX, Rates, or volatility products, as well as previous exposure to Blazor WebAssembly will be considered a strong asset
