Job summary

Capco Poland is seeking a System Business Analyst to drive technology transformation in the Core Banking domain for leading financial institutions.

You will work with stakeholders, architects, developers, and product owners to translate business needs into system requirements and enable modern banking solutions across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, CS, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience as a BA or System Business Analyst within banking/financial services.
• Hands-on Core Banking systems experience (Temenos T24/Transact, Finastra, Oracle FLEXCUBE, Avaloq, FIS, Mambu, Hogan or similar).
• Strong understanding of retail and commercial banking products and processes.
• Experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements; REST APIs & data mapping.
• SQL querying and data analysis; UML/BPMN process modelling.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery; excellent communication and stakeholder management; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users, Product Owners, Solution Architects, and development teams.
• Analyze banking processes to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and digital transformation.
• Support design and implementation of Core Banking solutions; ensure alignment with processes and architecture.
• Perform impact analysis for regulatory changes and system enhancements; facilitate workshops.
• Support API, interface, and integration analysis between Core Banking platforms and surrounding systems.
• Participate in solution validation, system integration testing, UAT, and production deployments.
• Maintain requirements traceability; produce BRD, FSD, process maps, and data mapping docs.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations; support Agile ceremonies.

THINGS YOU WILL DO

As a System Business Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering technology transformation initiatives within the Core Banking domain. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, testers, and product owners to analyze business needs, translate them into system requirements, and support the implementation of modern banking solutions.

You will participate in end-to-end project delivery, ensuring that business requirements are accurately reflected in system design while maintaining alignment with business objectives and regulatory expectations.

Main Duties

• Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for Core Banking applications.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with business users, Product Owners, Solution Architects, and development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze existing banking processes and identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and digital transformation.
• Support the design and implementation of Core Banking solutions, ensuring alignment with business processes and system architecture.
• Perform impact analysis for new business initiatives, regulatory changes, and system enhancements.Facilitate workshops and requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders.
• Support API, interface, and integration analysis between Core Banking platforms and surrounding systems.
• Participate in solution validation, system integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments.
• Manage requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce high-quality documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications, process maps, and data mapping documentation.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations.
• Support Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Available ASAP
• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or System Business Analyst within the banking or financial services sector.
• Hands-on experience with Core Banking systems (e.g., Temenos T24/Transact, Finastra, Oracle FLEXCUBE, Avaloq, FIS, Mambu, Hogan or similar).
• Strong understanding of retail and commercial banking products and processes, including:
• Customer onboarding
• Accounts
• Deposits
• Lending
• Payments
• Interest and fee processing
• Experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements.
• Knowledge of system integration concepts, REST APIs, web services, and data mapping.
• Experience with SQL and database querying for data analysis.
• Familiarity with UML, BPMN, process modelling, or similar techniques.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud-based banking platforms.
• Knowledge of Open Banking and API ecosystems.
• Familiarity with regulatory initiatives such as PSD2, SEPA, AML, KYC, or GDPR.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio, Enterprise Architect, or Azure DevOps.
• ISTQB, CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications.
