Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a Business Solution Owner (Business Intelligence Analyst) in Łódź, Poland. You will shape the data product vision, translate business needs into technical specs, and guide cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions aligned with business strategy.

Collaborate with stakeholders, define user stories, prioritize features by value, and ensure quality with clear acceptance criteria while driving continuous improvement across data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and related project experience.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical specs for development teams.
• Familiarity with BI report lifecycles and automation tools (Power BI, Power Automate, UiPath, Power Apps).
• Knowledge of data engineering tools and structured/unstructured data handling.
• Ability to drive value from data across enterprise data sources and collaborate with leadership.

Business Solution Owner (Business Intelligence Analyst)

The key purpose of the Business Solution Owneris to support the development and management of data related solutions to deliver value in line with the business’s strategy.

This role will support the implementation of product vision and strategy, prioritization of enhancements, and communication of changes. This role involves a combination of business acumen, technical knowledge, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Product Vision and Strategy: Responsible to work closely with the technical teams to deliver a product that reflects the vision for the data product and provide guidance to ensure the teams are on track and informed on requirements. Provide clarity to a well-defined and inspiring solution that aligns the team and stakeholders with the overall business goals. Support the refinements and plannings of product features in line with business goals.
• Business Partnering & Prioritization: Support and work closely with our stakeholders to prioritize features based on business value, ability to navigate the complexity of our data landscape to offer advice on product features to prioritize backlog that balances short-term needs with longterm goals and resource constraints.
• User Story Definition: Provide support in the development & maintenance of user stories translating business requirements into actionable tasks that inform a well-defined backlog that serves as a basis for development.
• Quality Assurance: Support the successful implementation of acceptance criteria to ensure product quality, resulting in a high-quality product that meets specified requirements and user expectations. Actively provide regular feedback on product features to optimize performance and maximize business value.
• Ability to achieve project goals and objectives by applying the discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about successful project completion.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics / Data Science, Business Information Technology, or related field.
• Prior experience doing similar or comparable projects in a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in converting complex business requirements into actionable technical and functional specifications for implementation by development teams.
• Familiarity with development lifecycle for creating reports using Business Intelligence tools, e.g. Power BI.
• Familiarity with development lifecycle for creating automation solutions using automation tools, e.g. Power Automate, UiPath, Power Apps.
• Familiarity with development lifecycle in creating data engineering solutions using relevant tools, e.g. Azure, Python, SQL.
• Comfortable working with structured and unstructured data.
• Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems and multi-task.
• Understanding of enterprise data sources to drive visibility to data-driven insights.
• Learn and execute continuous improvement initiatives to improve systems and ways of working.
• Work closely with functional leadership teams.
• Maintain a sense of urgency to meeting scheduling plans and customer requirements.
• Ability to use a systemic approach and tools to identify and drive business value from solutions delivered.
• Basic Supply Chain, Finance, and Business acumen.
• Strong business perspective.
• Able to merge business questions/needs with available data to provide data-driven insights.

Compensation: starting from PLN 9 600 gross per month
Final salary will be determined as part of any final offer and will consider factors such as skills, education, role-specific experience, and internal equity among current employees.
