Business Development, Implementation, & Customer Success Specialist (SMB) - B2B SaaS | Mining / FIFO / Camp Operations
We're looking for someone to support our client's full client lifecycle: sales, implementation, and customer success for a workforce accommodation and transportation platform used across mining, energy, and construction operations.
You will support and collaborate with the sales team on discovery calls, demos, proposals, and deal progression. You will lead client implementations from kickoff through go-live. And you will own ongoing client relationships, driving adoption, expansion, and long-term value. Over time, you may run the end-to-end sales process for our SMB client base.
This is a generalist role on a small team. You will work directly with client stakeholders across operations, logistics, accommodation, finance, and IT.
This role includes international travel (approximately 15 to 30%) for on-site implementations and client meetings, typically 2 to 4 trips per year ranging from 5 to 14 days.
Because the company supports clients globally, candidates should also be comfortable working across multiple time zones, including regular overlap with US Pacific mornings for meetings, training, and collaboration.
Why This Role Stands Out
- Work across the entire client lifecycle—not siloed into one function
- Build and grow SMB client relationships from first conversation through implementation, adoption, renewal, and expansion
- Lead client implementations from kickoff through go-live, helping customers realize value quickly
- Work hands-on inside the product by configuring environments, supporting workflows, and solving real operational challenges
- Partner with operations leaders, logistics teams, finance, IT, and executives across mining, energy, and construction
- Collaborate closely with engineering on integrations, system behavior, and client-specific requirements
- Gain exposure to complex workforce operations including accommodation, transportation, rostering, and logistics
- Earn performance-based compensation through both new business and customer expansion
- Join a lean, high-impact team where your contribution is visible and your responsibilities grow with the business
What You'll Be Doing
- Support senior sellers with demos, proposals, collateral, and sales preparation
- Research prospects and tailor demos to client operations
- Create follow-up materials, decks, summaries, and proposal content
- Learn the competitive landscape and product positioning
- Gradually take ownership of SMB deals from discovery through close
- Run discovery calls, deliver demos, and present proposals/business cases
- Manage opportunities through the pipeline in HubSpot
- Support quote reviews, pricing conversations, and contract coordination
- Occasionally attend industry events and client site visits
Implementation
- Lead client kickoffs and guide requirements, timelines, and deliverables
- Run structured discovery sessions to understand operational workflows
- Configure system environments (sites, rooms, transport resources, users, permissions, ' workflows)
Coordinate with engineering on custom development, integrations, data setup, and other technical requirements
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and prepare clients for go-live
- Deliver virtual and on-site training sessions to client teams across different functions
- Troubleshoot issues, determining whether they are configuration, data, or system-related
- Diagnose whether a client issue is a bug, a misconfiguration, a data problem, or intended system behavior for that client's setup
- Navigate scope and timeline trade-offs when engineering capacity is shared across multiple active implementations
Customer Success & Account Growth
- Monitor adoption and proactively address usage or training gaps
- Identify upsell and expansion opportunities across your portfolio
- Help clients activate additional features and functionality
- Manage renewals and ongoing commercial discussions
- Advocate internally for client needs and elevate issues appropriately
During quieter periods, you'll also contribute to sales enablement, proposal improvements, competitive positioning, and internal knowledge sharing.
What We're Looking For
- 4–7 years of experience in facilities management, camp services, workforce housing, catering, or similar remote-site operations
- Client-facing experience in operations, commercial, account management, or business development roles
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ownership mentality and comfort working in a fast-moving environment
- Interest in learning software and speaking confidently about product capabilities
- Comfortable working across global time zones with some scheduling flexibility
Strong Advantage
- Implementation / Customer Success / Onboarding within a B2B SaaS environment
- Proposal, tender, or commercial bid experience
- Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude for research and content creation
- Understanding of remote camp operations, staffing, logistics, or food/cost management
- Exposure to FIFO/BIBO/DIDO transportation operations
- Experience working across multiple countries or operational environments
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Challenger Sales, MEDDPICC, or structured sales methodologies
- Experience with HubSpot, Apollo, or similar tools
- French and/or Spanish language skills
