Job description

What You'll Do

This role represents a pivotal opportunity to be the Business Controller for our Content & Aggregation business, a key growth driver with complex billing and multi‑entity operations. You will manage the entire balance sheet and collaborate closely with senior colleagues to drive financial performance, oversee risk, and aid decision‑making.

You will be at the intersection of finance operations and commercial finance. You will bring challenge, insight, and judgement, drawing on a centralized Accounting Operations team for transactional and close execution.

For a finance leader who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys combining technical depth with commercial thinking, this is an opportunity to play a critical role in shaping a modern, forward‑looking controllership function.

  • Own the integrity, quality, and performance of the balance sheet for the Content & Aggregation business.
  • Provide end‑to‑end oversight of balance sheet movements, risks, and underlying drivers, including receivables collections.
  • Review and challenge reconciliations, ensuring issues are identified, understood, and resolved.
  • Lead month‑end close review, including financial commentary, variance analysis, and business sign‑off.
  • Apply financial judgement across accruals, provisions, revenue recognition, and complex transactions.
  • Partner with senior team members to provide insight, challenge, and support strategic decision‑making.
  • Translate financial outcomes into clear insights, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
  • Ensure alignment with accounting policies, internal controls, and governance requirements.
  • Identify and proactively manage financial and balance sheet risks and exposures.
  • Collaborate with D365 Accounting Operations and Revenue teams to direct priorities and ensure high‑quality outputs.
  • Monitor important measures including working capital, balance sheet efficiency, and forecast accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement through enhanced reporting, insight, and automation of finance processes.
What We're Looking For
  • Significant experience in controllership, finance business partnering, or senior accounting roles within a multinational organization.
  • Strong expertise in balance sheet management, financial accounting, and governance.
  • Proven ability to apply financial judgement and provide commercial insight in complex environments.
  • Experience working within centralized or shared service finance models.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proven stakeholder management and influencing capability across finance and business leadership.
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and close/reporting tools (e.g., BlackLine, IBM Planning Analytics).
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Continuous improvement approach with a focus on simplification, standardization, and automation. Experience in automating processes with AI tools is highly advantageous.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent required.
