Job summary

TPConnects Technologies in Warsaw is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our finance operations, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and oversee end-to-end functions including P2P, month-end close, tax and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise, proven IFRS knowledge, and a track record in a fast-growing tech environment; Oracle NetSuite experience is essential, and English communication is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10 years’ progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Previous experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • Demonstrated experience managing month-end close and statutory reporting.
  • Experience managing external audits.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Extensive experience using Oracle NetSuite ERP.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts and supporting reconciliations.
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliation and review processes.
  • Manage accruals, prepayments, provisions and revenue/cost recognition in accordance with IFRS.
  • Produce financial reports and analysis to support executive decision-making.
  • Continuously improve the efficiency and quality of the month-end close process.
  • Own and complete Procure-to-Pay cycle.
  • Ensure purchase orders, supplier onboarding, invoice approvals and payments comply with company policies.
  • Maintain strong controls over accounts payable and supplier reconciliations.
  • Optimise payment processes while maintaining strong cash flow management.
  • Drive automation and process improvements within the P2P function.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable accounting standards.
  • Manage VAT, corporate tax and other statutory filings across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate annual statutory financial statements.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and compliance with internal policies.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement required accounting or reporting updates.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls and finance policies.
  • Ensure appropriate segregation of duties and financial governance.
  • Develop and document accounting policies and procedures.
  • Identify operational and financial risks and recommend improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation of finance processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to optimise finance workflows.
  • Support ERP enhancements, implementations and reporting improvements.
  • Leverage technology to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Support the finance team with reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to stakeholders.
  • Partner with department leaders to improve financial performance.
  • Assist with strategic projects, due diligence and corporate initiatives as required.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to lead our finance operations and ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting across the business. This is a hands-on role responsible for the end-to-end finance function, including the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, month-end close, statutory reporting, audit management, payroll oversight, tax and regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise together with the ability to improve systems, controls and processes in a fast-growing technology business. Experience with Oracle NetSuite is essential, and prior exposure to a SaaS or travel technology business will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
  • Own the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts and supporting reconciliations.
