Zusammenfassung

Webellian in Warsaw is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to bridge business needs and IT delivery. You will translate functional requirements into user stories, collaborate with Product Owners, developers, QA, and stakeholders, and help improve finance-related modules within a global insurer's system.

You will analyze production issues, use SQL, and work with REST APIs, JSON, and data flows, while maintaining clear Confluence documentation and Jira tasks. Hybrid work in Warsaw offered.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in software engineering.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Good practical knowledge of SQL and data validation.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, integrations and data flows.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence for requirements and tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including production issue investigation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• English B2+; C1 preferred.

About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to strengthen our Software Engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and developers, translating functional requirements into clear, actionable development tasks.

The Webellian team supports the daily operations and continuous modernization of finance modules within the main operational system of a global insurance company. The scope includes invoicing interfaces, payment modules, integrations with other financial systems, and related system functionality.

The role combines strong business analysis skills with a good technical understanding of software systems, APIs, databases, and integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.

Competencies

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a software engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Good practical knowledge of SQL.
• Understanding of REST APIs, integrations, JSON, and system/data flows.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including production issue investigation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• English B2+, C1 preferred.
• Can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

Nice to have

• Experience with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Experience with financial systems, invoicing, payments, or insurance.
• Experience with production support and root-cause analysis.
• Basic knowledge of microservices or cloud-based systems.
