Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in Warsaw (Młochów) seeks a branch leader to oversee daily operations, organize pallet shipments, and lead a diverse team of drivers and administrative staff.

You will manage budgets, monitor KPIs, drive cost efficiency, and collaborate with central functions to support growth, while fostering a positive work culture and continuous Lean improvements to meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in managing a logistics branch or 5 years in a similar operational area.
• Strong knowledge of road transport operations and palletized freight considerations.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams across functional areas.
• Independent, accountable, and results-driven with proactive task execution.
• Good command of English for effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Warsaw branch operations (Młochów) ensuring timely pallet shipments.
• Lead operational teams, drivers, and admin staff to deliver high service levels.
• Manage budget and monitor KPIs, driving cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with central functions to support growth and development.
• Foster Lean/continuous improvement and 5S culture within the team.
• Ensure compliance with Labour Code and health & safety regulations.

YOUR TASKS

• Comprehensive management and oversight of the efficient operation of the company's branch in Warsaw (Młochów)
• Organization and supervision of the timely execution of pallet shipment transportation.
• Effective management of operational teams, drivers, and administrative staff to ensure the highest level of service quality for customers.
• Budget oversight, including planning and monitoring the achievement of key KPIs.
• Driving transportation cost efficiency in the areas of collection, distribution, and linehaul operations.Initiating operational process improvements within the branch to optimize workforce utilization.
• Collaborating with the company's central functions and other business units to support business growth and development.
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through direct contact and the proactive development of optimal solutions.
• Creating a collaborative and positive work environment through relationship building, team motivation, talent identification, and talent development.
• Fostering a culture of continuous improvement by implementing and developing LEAN concepts in cooperation with central business units.
• Organizing work in compliance with 5S Safety standards, the Labor Code, and Health & Safety regulations.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

• Minimum 3 years of experience in managing a logistics branch or 5 years of experience managing a specific operational area, such as collection and distribution.
• Practical knowledge of road transport operations; experience in palletized freight transportation is considered an advantage.
• Proven experience in managing diverse teams across different functional areas.High level of independence, accountability, and responsibility in decision-making.
• Proactive approach to tasks, with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and motivate team members.
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving objectives and driving branch development.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate performance and optimize costs.
• Good command of English, enabling effective and confident communication.
