We are looking for an experienced BIM Engineer with strong expertise in LOD 350–500 modelling, Autodesk Revit, structural steel/tower modelling, and Digital Twin solutions.
The role will focus on validating, fixing, developing, and managing high-fidelity 3D models of telecom and utility tower structures. The successful candidate will help create accurate, construction-grade digital twins incorporating detailed structural connections, asset information, and IoT data to support structural analysis, predictive maintenance, and lifecycle management.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8–10+ years of BIM modelling experience, ideally within structural steel, telecom towers, or similar infrastructure projects.
- Expert-level knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
- Strong experience with AutoCAD and BIM modelling at LOD 350–500.
- Experience with Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
- Understanding of structural analysis workflows and experience with RSA (Robot Structural Analysis) or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of AIA LOD specifications, particularly detailed component geometry and connections at LOD 350–500.
- Experience working with laser scans, point clouds, and as-built BIM modelling.
- Knowledge of Digital Twin concepts and IoT integration for asset or lifecycle management.
- Experience with structural steel modelling and construction documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate, review, and fix LOD 350–500 BIM models, ensuring accurate representation of tower structures, components, and connections.
- Develop detailed models of lattice towers, monopoles, mounts, antennas, cables, and associated structural components.
- Convert laser scan and point cloud data into accurate as-built 3D Revit models.
- Perform clash detection and resolution to identify potential conflicts between existing structures and new equipment prior to deployment.
- Prepare BIM models for structural engineering analysis, ensuring accurate geometry, materials, and connectivity.
- Support integration of IoT sensor data into Digital Twin/BIM models for monitoring parameters such as structural stress, deflection, and temperature.
- Create and maintain construction documentation, shop drawings, and asset data.
- Ensure models comply with relevant AIA LOD specifications and BIM standards.
- Collaborate with structural engineering and multidisciplinary teams to maintain model accuracy and quality.
