Job summary

Base.com is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join our data experts team and turn data into actionable insights driving growth. You will own the end-to-end BI process, from requirements gathering and data ingestion to modeling and reporting, using Power BI and AWS tools.

The role requires deep SQL, data warehousing expertise, and a business-first mindset to translate technical details into strategic objectives in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence.
• Understanding of data warehousing architecture, data modeling concepts, and ETL/ELT best practices.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex querying, performance tuning, and data manipulation.
• Expertise with business intelligence/data visualization tools (PowerBI is a must).
• Proficiency with version control (Git).
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic startup environment.
• Effective communication to translate technical details into business objectives.
• Proactive communication and ability to articulate a vision to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of BI development from gathering requirements to deployment and user adoption.
• Partner with business stakeholders and data engineers to translate needs into robust solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable BI solutions using our modern stack (AWS Redshift, AWS RDS, PowerBI, Git, AI tools).
• Develop comprehensive data models and build interactive dashboards using PowerBI.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and build automated reporting to empower business users.
