Job summary

Base is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join our data experts team in Kraków. You will own end-to-end BI development, from requirements gathering to data modelling and reporting, enabling strategic decisions and operational excellence across the business.

You will work with AWS data components like Redshift, S3, Glue, and leverage Microsoft Power BI and Git to build scalable dashboards. A 3+ year BI background, strong SQL, and ability to translate technical details into business

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT best practices.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex querying and data manipulation.
• Expertise with PowerBI and data visualization tools.
• Proficiency with Git and version control.
• Ability to translate technical details into business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of BI development from requirements to end-user adoption.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and data engineers to design robust solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions using our tech stack (AWS Redshift, AWS RDS, PowerBI, Git).
• Develop data models and interactive dashboards in PowerBI.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and build automated reporting for business users.

Currently, we are looking for a Business Intelligence Developer (SQL, PowerBI) to take a key role in our data experts team and transform data into actionable insights that will shape the company's dynamic growth strategy. You will play a key role in every stage of the development of our reporting platform, taking end-to-end ownership from gathering requirements, data ingestion and warehousing, through robust data modelling and validation, to the creation of meaningful insights and reporting that enable informed strategic decisions and drive operational excellence across the business.

We seek curious "doers" who are passionate about data analyses and thrive in a role that combines deep technical expertise with strategic business understanding.

You’ll be a perfect fit for this role if you have deep expertise in data warehousing and visualization (using Microsoft PowerBI), exceptional analytical and technical skills (advanced SQL proficiency is essential), and a business-first mindset with the ability to think critically and strategically.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence
• Understanding of data warehousing architecture, data modeling concepts, and ETL/ELT best practices
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex querying, performance tuning, and data manipulation
• Expertise with business intelligence/data visualization tools (Microsoft PowerBI is a must!)
• Proficiency with version control (Git)
• Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing priorities within a very dynamic startup environment
• Effective and flexible communication skills, including the ability to translate technical details into business and commercial objectives, and vice versa
• A proactive communication style - you're not afraid to challenge the status quo and articulate your vision to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Self-driven and detail-oriented mindset while working with data
• Nice-to-have: hands-on experience with AWS data components, like Iceberg, S3, Glue and Redshift for transformation, ingestion and storage of data
• Nice-to-have: experience AI-driven data structures development

Tasks

• Own the full lifecycle of BI development: from gathering and challenging business requirements to solution design, deployment, and fostering end-user adoption
• Act as a key partner for business stakeholders and data engineers, effectively translating business needs into robust technical solutions
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust Business Intelligence solutions using our modern tech stack (AWS Redshift, AWS RDS, Microsoft PowerBI, Git, AI tools)
• Develop comprehensive data models and build interactive dashboards using Microsoft PowerBI
• Perform both ad-hoc data analysis and build automated reporting solutions that empower business users
