Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. in Krakow is seeking a Software Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain backend services for the Partner Hub. You will work under senior engineers to build scalable, production-grade solutions and gain hands-on experience with a modern backend stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 0–3 years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent internship/project).
• Foundational knowledge of backend development concepts and server-side architecture.
• Strong desire to learn and apply new backend technologies quickly.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering reliable, scalable results.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of backend features, focusing on service logic, API development, and data processing.
• Support the development of backend services using Java, Node.js, or Python.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate backend services with user-facing interfaces via RESTful APIs.
• Participate in team design discussions, code reviews, and testing activities to ensure high-quality, scalable code.
• Help monitor system performance and assist in resolving backend-related technical issues under the guidance of senior team members.
• Utilize AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate learning and development tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to support the full software development lifecycle.
• Maintain a commitment to continuous learning, code quality, and operational excellence.
