Job summary

RE Partners is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer for a long-term programme with a leading global bank. You will develop scalable Java backend services, tackle concurrency and multithreading challenges, and build event-driven solutions using Kafka or similar technologies.

You will also work on performance, resilience and production readiness, and help troubleshoot JVM issues in a high-throughput environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with distributed or high-throughput systems
• Knowledge of concurrency, multithreading and JVM fundamentals
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Solace, IBM MQ or similar
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes-based environments
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Professional working English
• Experience with Oracle, MongoDB, OpenShift, Java profiling or financial systems beneficial

RE Partners is hiring a Senior Java Software Engineer for a long-term technology programme with a leading global bank. The role focuses on high-throughput Java services, concurrency, messaging and production performance. Banking experience is not required; relevant experience may come from any complex, data-intensive environment.

• Troubleshoot JVM and production issues
• Contribute to technical design decisions
