Job summary

Xebia sp. z o.o. is seeking a data engineer to design and operate scalable data pipelines across cloud platforms. You will drive ELT workflows, work with AWS technologies, Python, dbt, and Airflow, and collaborate with global teams to deliver robust data solutions.

The role emphasizes production-grade data platforms, data governance, and continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a related technical role.
• Hands-on AWS and cloud-based data platforms experience.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
• Experience with production-scale data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Proven Python, dbt, and Apache Airflow skills.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Spark, and NiFi.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities; collaborative.
• Comfort with large, complex production datasets.
• Excellent English and ability to work with international teams.
• Proactive mindset and focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Build ELT workflows and data transformations with Python, SQL, and dbt.
• Develop cloud-based data infrastructure on AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift).
• Implement data orchestration using Airflow or MWAA.
• Work with Kafka, Spark, and NiFi for streaming and batch data.
• Ensure reliability, performance, and quality of production data pipelines.
• Collaborate with data architects, product teams, analysts, IT, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to data security, governance, monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation to support platform reliability.
