Job summary

Grid Dynamics seeks a Senior BigData Architect to lead the design and implementation of a brand-new, enterprise-scale data platform from scratch. This pure greenfield project focuses on architecture, design, and delivery, with no legacy maintenance.

You will drive the overall data architecture strategy, establish standards, and build end-to-end data solutions using an Azure-native ecosystem. As the primary technical authority, you will provide governance, mentor data engineers, and collaborate

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in data architecture.
Led the architecture of a greenfield data platform from scratch to production.
Deep expertise in the Microsoft Azure Data Stack (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse Analytics).
Relevant Microsoft Certification in the Data Stack (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate / Fabric Analytics Engineer).
Strong data modelling, data governance, and modern DataOps practices.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments (Jira, Confluence).
Exceptional stakeholder management and fluent English.

Responsibilities

Define, design, and drive the architectural strategy for a scalable enterprise data platform.
Architect end-to-end solutions using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and modern tools.
Set architectural standards, define best practices, and produce reference architectures and documentation.
Provide technical leadership and governance, reviewing designs and guiding data engineers.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into architectural decisions.
