Grid Dynamics is seeking a Senior BigData Architect to design and lead a brand-new, enterprise-scale data platform from scratch. This role centers on architecture, design, and delivery using an Azure-native ecosystem.

You will establish standards, drive end-to-end data solutions, and provide technical leadership across engineering teams while collaborating closely with business stakeholders. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture.
• Led the architecture of a greenfield data platform from scratch to production.
• Expertise in the Microsoft Azure Data Stack (Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse).
• Microsoft Certification in the Data Stack (Azure Data Engineer Associate / Fabric Analytics Engineer).
• Strong data modelling, governance, and modern DataOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Define, design and drive the architectural strategy for a scalable enterprise data platform.
• Architect end-to-end solutions using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Data Lake; leverage Fabric and Purview.

We are seeking a Senior BigData Architect to lead the design and implementation of a brand-new, enterprise-scale data platform from scratch. This is a pure greenfield project focused entirely on architecture, design, and delivery, with no legacy maintenance phase involved. As the primary technical authority, you will drive the overall data architecture strategy, establish standards, and build end-to-end data solutions using an Azure-native ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and drive the architectural strategy for a scalable, reliable enterprise data platform from inception to production.
• Architect end-to-end solutions using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and modern tools such as Microsoft Fabric and Purview.
• Set architectural standards, define best practices, and produce reference architectures and documentation for engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership and governance, reviewing designs, guiding data engineers, and making real‑time architectural calls.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical leads to translate complex requirements into implementable architectural decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture.
• Proven track record of leading the architecture of a greenfield data platform from scratch to production.
• Deep expertise in the Microsoft Azure Data Stack (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse Analytics).
• Relevant Microsoft Certification in the Data Stack (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate / Fabric Analytics Engineer).
• Strong command of data modelling, data governance, and modern DataOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments (Jira, Confluence).
• Exceptional stakeholder management and whiteboarding skills; fluent English.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Data Mesh, Medallion architecture, or Lakehouse design patterns.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Purview.
