Job summary

JustRelate Group is seeking a senior software engineer to design, code, and debug cloud-native applications. You will migrate services to AWS and leverage the AWS ecosystem to ensure scalability and availability.

You will maintain a microservice-based SaaS in Kubernetes, participate in on-call duties, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment. Flexible remote/hybrid options and ongoing learning opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Solid background in software development principles and large-scale software architectures.
• Experience with building software as part of a distributed test-driven agile environment.
• Ability to build and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, automating testing, deployment, and rollbacks.
• Hands-on experience deploying web apps on AWS and using its service offerings.
• Experience IaC with either AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm for repeatable deployments.
• Familiar with HTTP, REST, proxies, and load balancing mechanisms.
• Understanding of network infrastructure such as switches, routers, firewalls, VPN gateways.
• Active use of AI in development and operations tasks.
• Proficient in English; German a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and debug interactive applications and fix what others built.
• Migrate software and services to AWS and utilize AWS services ecosystem.
• Monitor and automate deployment tasks for scalability and availability.
• Participate in rotating on-call duty (about every 4 weeks).
• Maintain a microservice-based SaaS in a Kubernetes environment serving global customers.
• Support project teams and communicate with colleagues.
• Work in an agile team.
