Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in Kraków, Poland, is seeking a Risk and Compliance professional to support the 2LoD Assurance activities within the HBCE Risk Permanent Control team. The role focuses on executing independent testing of RC and FC controls, identifying issues, and engaging with stakeholders to drive effective remediation.

The ideal candidate will have strong RC/FC risk knowledge, European regulatory understanding, and excellent analytical and communication skills, with English fluency.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of RC and FC risks and assurance activities.
• Experience in a 2LoD or assurance function within financial services.
• Understanding of European regulatory framework.
• Excellent analytical and justificatory skills.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders across regions.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent testing of RC and FC controls in 1LoD/2LoD within HBCE.
• Identify deficiencies and root causes to inform corrective actions.
• Validate findings with stakeholders and escalate significant issues.
• Draft reports, summarize findings and root causes.
• Inform risk and control owners of design and effectiveness.
• Help develop testing templates and tools used by the team.
• Ensure testing activities align with the Compliance Monitoring Programme.
• Contribute to Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan in collaboration with HBCE stakeholders.
