Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in Poland is seeking a Risk and Compliance professional to execute independent testing of RC and FC controls within the HBCE Risk Permanent Control team. You will work across 1LoD and 2LoD, identifying deficiencies and coordinating remediation with risk owners and control owners.

The role requires strong knowledge of regulatory risk in financial services, plus excellent analytical and communication skills to support timely issue escalation and robust reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Compliance (RC and FC) risks and experience in an Assurance team or other 2LoD activities.
• Familiarity with Risk & Control framework in financial services and European regulation.
• Excellent analytical skills to support decisions with clear justifications.

Responsibilities

• Execute independent testing and review of RC and FC controls across 1LoD/2LoD within HBCE.
• Identify deficiencies, root causes and propose effective action plans.
• Validate findings with stakeholders and escalate material control deficiencies.
• Draft reports, propose issues and summarize root causes.
• Inform Risk Owners and Control Owners about design and operational effectiveness.
• Support design and execution of control activities and develop testing templates.
• Ensure testing activities comply with HBCE’s Compliance Monitoring Programme methodology.
• Participate in Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan development with HBCE Compliance Risk Stewards and Head of Risk Permanent Control.
