Job summary

OPmobility SE seeks a Product Design Leader for the Exterior & Lighting group in Gliwice, Poland. You will lead the design and development of automotive products from concept to production, translating customer needs into manufacturable solutions and coordinating with suppliers and CAD teams.

You will drive design reviews, define geometry and design parameters, and work closely with Project Engineering Managers to deliver milestones. Travel and fluent English are required for this role.

Qualifications

• University degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Engineering field.
• 3+ years of experience in design of injection-molded plastic parts.
• Ability to lead product design activities and CAD engineers.
• Fluent English (B2 or higher).
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of automotive products from concept to production.
• Translate customer requirements into manufacturable design solutions.
• Coordinate design activities with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Act as the main technical interface between customers, suppliers, CAD teams, and project stakeholders.
• Drive design reviews and ensure on-time delivery of engineering milestones.
• Collaborate with Project Engineering Managers to implement optimal technical solutions.
• Define and maintain product geometry, reference systems, and key design parameters.
• Support tooling development by defining critical tuning areas.
• Review and validate drawings, assemblies, and engineering documentation.
• Define actions for part shape adaptation during pre-production phase.
• Capture lessons learned and promote best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
