Job summary

BorgWarner in Poland is seeking a Plant Product Engineer - Systems to support production launches, lifecycle management, and manufacturing support for automotive power electronics. You will act as the primary technical interface between the plant and Product Engineering teams, driving root-cause analysis and release activities.

You'll collaborate across cross-functional teams, work with MATLAB/Simulink and AUTOSAR tools, and travel to manufacturing sites as needed. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Software Engineering or related field.
• Experience in automotive product development and manufacturing support.
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering, ASPICE and requirements management.
• Experience with embedded software development, debugging, and AUTOSAR.
• Knowledge of power electronics, traction inverters and drive systems.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262, FMEA and RCA methodologies.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Polarion, CANoe, CANape, CAPL.
• Scripting and test automation (e.g., Perl, DLLs) preferred.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel to plants and customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical interface between manufacturing plant and Product Engineering.
• Coordinate rapid engineering responses and root-cause investigations.
• Support product launches, SOPs and serial production activities.
• Lead system and software support for production releases and deployment.
• Analyze software and system issues on test benches and equipment.
• Support engineering in debugging, RCA and corrective actions.
• Contribute to automation scripts and software components for test systems.
