Job summary
BorgWarner is seeking a Product Support Engineer (R&D) - System Software to support production, launches and lifecycle management of automotive power electronics. You will collaborate with Manufacturing Plant functions and Product Engineering teams, troubleshoot, and drive continuous improvement across software and system deployments.
The role requires strong engineering fundamentals, embedded software experience, and familiarity with ASPICE; English fluency is essential, with German/French
Qualifications
- Experience in automotive product development and manufacturing support.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering, ASPICE, and requirements management.
- Experience with embedded software development and debugging.
- Familiarity with automotive power electronics and EV drive systems.
- Fluency in English; German/French advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical interface between manufacturing and Product Engineering.
- Coordinate rapid engineering responses and root-cause investigations.
- Support product launches, SOPs, and serial production activities.
- Lead system/software support for production releases and deployments.
- Analyze software and system issues on test benches and production equipment.
- Assist in debugging, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
