Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Kraków is seeking an Integration Test Team member to perform exploration tests and develop automated tests in Python. You will implement functional and non-functional tests, and contribute to test procedures, frameworks and automation, ensuring traceability to requirements and high quality test documentation.

You will collaborate with developers, QA experts, product owners and system architects, while advancing AI-enabled QA practices and continuous improvement in testing

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc degree in IT, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Electronics or similar area.
• At least 3+ years of experience in Python testing.
• Strong knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks including Pytest and UI test automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright).
• Experience with Linux systems, Bash, Git, virtualization, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.

How you’ll make an impact

• As Integration Test Team member, perform exploration tests and develop automated tests in Python.
• Implement functional and non-functional tests.
• Take part in the development and automation of test procedures and frameworks.
• Create efficient test strategies and test infrastructure ensuring alignment with project goals and technical requirements.
• Contribute to laboratory expansion by installing and configuring network equipment.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, quality experts, product owners, domain experts and system architects.
• Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements, create and maintain test documentation including test plans and test reports.
• Explore AI tools applicable in QA area, contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes and tools.
• Support the adoption of QA best practices and mentor team members in test methodologies across SAFe/SCRUM R&D teams.
• Focusing on safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

• BSc or MSc degree in IT, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Electronics or similar area.
• At least 3+ years of experience in Python testing.
• Strong knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks including Pytest and UI test automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright).
• Experience with Linux systems, Bash, Git, virtualization, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Network management skills, e.g. VLANs configuration, understanding of TCP/IP stack or communication protocols (e.g. SNMP, MPLS), testing network management software is an advantage.
• Experience with laboratory test equipment is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, solutions-oriented approach, willingness to learn and strong communication skills with spoken and written English.
