Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland Ltd. is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our automation and applied AI engineering team.

In a small, high-ownership squad, you will participate across the software-development lifecycle—from learning and analyzing business processes through solution design, development, deployment, monitoring and production support. You will collaborate with business, operations and technology stakeholders to design, build and support production-grade automation solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of software development experience.
• Strong Python and Django proficiency.
• Experience with REST APIs and SQL Server.
• Experience with AI/LLM APIs and prompt design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack automations and services across backend components, relational databases, REST APIs and web-based user interfaces.
• Develop solutions using Python and Django with relational databases such as SQL Server.
• Apply generative AI and large language models to appropriate business workflows, including document and email processing, information extraction, classification and AI-assisted report drafting.
• Implement controls for AI-enabled solutions, including validation, exception handling, auditability and human review where required.
• Proactively learn workflows and domain knowledge to design effective automation solutions.
• Own assigned solutions through lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment and production support.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis and improve reliability and performance.
• Develop automated tests and participate in code reviews to maintain quality and reduce risk.
• Implement logging, monitoring and alerting for unattended automations.
• Liaise with stakeholders across compliance, legal, trading operations, tax, treasury, finance, and HR to validate logic and communicate trade-offs.
• Develop and support Compliance and regulatory reports translating business rules into technical solutions with data validation and auditability.
• Document and communicate technical designs and decisions for knowledge sharing across audiences.
• Remain current with software-development, automation and AI technologies and evaluate their use within the organization.
