Job summary

Motorola Solutions Systems Polska Sp.z.o.o is seeking a versatile Engineer to join the Intelligent Middleware (IMW) team. The role starts with a strong focus on DevOps and automation, supporting CI/CD processes and infrastructure automation.

Over time you will expand into JAVA backend work, blending Code + Ops in a hybrid model, collaborating with developers to ensure scalable, high-quality software, and exploring AI-assisted coding tools to speed delivery.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in DevOps, SRE, or software engineering.
• Proficient with CI/CD tools, Jenkins.
• Practical Ansible IaC experience.
• Strong scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Docker and orchestration concepts.

Responsibilities

• Drive the automation of software delivery (CI/CD) and infrastructure.

Job Description

We are looking for a versatile Engineer to join the IMW team. Your journey will start with a strong focus on DevOps excellence - supporting us in transforming and automating our software delivery processes. As our CI/CD pipelines stabilize, your role will evolve. You will expand your scope into active product development, creating a hybrid role that combines infrastructure automation with JAVA backend programming. This is a unique opportunity to shape both how we build software and what we build.

Responsibilities

• Driving the automation of software delivery (CI/CD) and infrastructure.
• Writing and maintaining infrastructure as code (Ansible/Scripts).
• Gradually taking ownership of changes in JAVA component within the IMW backend.
• Collaborating with the development team to ensure system scalability and quality.
• Leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate coding and documentation.

Basic Requirements

• DevOps / Automation: Minimum 4+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering role.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD tools (specifically Jenkins) and pipeline management.
• Practical knowledge of Ansible (Infrastructure as Code).
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS cloud technologies.

Software Development

• Solid knowledge of JAVA (ability to read, debug, and write code).
• Understanding of Windows OS internals.
• Openness to working in a hybrid model (Code + Ops).

Modern Tooling

• Practical experience with AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Gemini) to speed up refactoring and documentation.
