Offer Description

Candidates must meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116(2) of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, and satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

  • Master’s degree in Polish Philology or Digital Humanities (or a related discipline)
  • Minimum two years of teaching experience
  • Research experience, in particular documented scientific publications in journals and publishers listed for research evaluation purposes – minimum publication requirements:
    • one article in a journal scoring at least 70 points, or
    • two articles, including one scoring at least 40 points, or
    • authorship or co-authorship of a scholarly monograph.
  • All publications must have been published within two years prior to the announcement of the competition.
  • Proficient knowledge of English at level B2, confirmed by a certificate or formal document.
  • Research record concerning scholarly editing, digital editing, and/or 19th–20th century literature, confirmed by publications and/or conference presentations.
  • Participation in academic conferences or academic conference organising committees.
  • Organisational involvement in academic life.
  • Participation in grant projects or applications for external research funding.
  • Active involvement in quality‑enhancement activities in university teaching (e.g. organising or attending trainings, organisational work in teaching development).

Candidates entering the competition are asked to submit the following documents:

Information on the candidate’s research, teaching and organisational achievements.

Information on planned research activities with indication of expected outcomes.

Statement confirming that KUL will be the primary place of employment if the candidate is selected.

Statement confirming compliance with Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science.

Selection process

The first stage of the competition procedure involves verification of submitted documents. Offers that pass the initial verification will be subject to substantive evaluation, which may include an interview (in person or online), upon prior arrangement with the Candidate.

Resolution of the competition does not result in the establishment of an employment relationship.

The final decision on employment is made by the Rector.

The University reserves the right to close the competition without a decision.
