You will coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Finance, HSE, and external providers to maximize production and financial returns, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the handover of new assets into operation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in renewable energy, power generation, or asset management.
  • Experience with utility-scale assets (solar, wind, storage) preferred.
  • Experience managing budgets, service providers, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience leading teams in a matrix environment.

Job description

Our client is a leading IPP with assets in Europe and the Americas. Currently for its Warsaw office we are looking for an Asset Management Lead for its Asset Operation services in Poland.


The Asset Management Lead is responsible for leading the company's Asset Management function across operating renewable energy assets, ensuring the safe, compliant, and profitable operation of the portfolio throughout the operational lifecycle.


The role provides leadership to Asset Managers for regional hub and is accountable for asset performance, budget management, stakeholder engagement, operational governance, and value creation initiatives. Acting as the owner of the operational phase of the assets, the Asset Management Lead ensures effective coordination between Operations, Engineering & Construction, Energy Management, Finance, HSE, Technical Services, and external service providers.


Asset Management Lead plays a key role in maximizing operational and financial performance while driving consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the portfolio. The role partners closely with Performance Monitoring & Optimization, O&M Strategy & Best Practices, and OT & Digital teams to achieve fleet-wide excellence and long-term asset value creation. The role reports to Global Operations in the HQ of the company in Europe.



  • Lead the regional Asset Management function across the operating portfolio of renewable energy assets.

  • Hold overall accountability for operational performance and value creation of assigned assets.

  • Ensure effective management of asset budgets, operating expenditures, and approved CAPEX programs.

  • Drive continuous performance improvement initiatives aimed at maximizing energy production, availability, and financial returns.

  • Support portfolio growth through the operational integration and handover of new assets entering operation


Asset Performance & Financial Oversight


  • Oversee portfolio operational and financial performance against approved budgets and business plans.

  • Review and challenge asset performance reports, operational KPIs, budgets, forecasts, and improvement plans.

  • Coordinate annual budgeting processes for operational assets and monitor budget execution throughout the year.

  • Review CAPEX proposals and support investment decisions related to asset optimization and risk mitigation.

  • Ensure accurate reporting of production, costs, operational performance, and key financial indicators


O&M Contractor Management


  • Oversee the performance of O&M contractors and other operational service providers across the portfolio.

  • Ensure contractor compliance with contractual obligations, KPIs, service levels, and HSE requirements.

  • Support contractor performance reviews and improvement initiatives in collaboration with Technical Services teams.

  • Escalate underperformance issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.

  • Foster a culture of operational excellence and accountability among external service providers.


Stakeholder & Regulatory Management


  • Maintain effective relationships with key external stakeholders including TSOs, DSOs, local authorities, regulators, landowners, and service providers.

  • Support regulatory, contractual, and compliance obligations applicable to operating assets.

  • Ensure operational activities are conducted in accordance with applicable permits, agreements, and legal requirements.

  • Represent the organization in operational matters with external stakeholders when required.


Asset Handover & Operational Readiness


  • Lead Asset Management involvement in the handover and integration of new assets from Engineering & Construction.

  • Ensure clear ownership transfer, operational readiness, documentation completeness, and contractor onboarding.

  • Coordinate resolution of operational issues arising during commissioning and transition into operations.

  • Support the implementation of standardized handover processes across the portfolio.


Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance


  • Partner closely with Performance Monitoring & Optimization teams to identify and prioritize improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Technical Services teams on maintenance strategies, asset reliability, and contractor management.

  • Work with OT & Digital teams to ensure availability, quality, and effective utilization of operational data.

  • Coordinate with Finance, Planning & Control, Energy Management, HSE, and Engineering teams to achieve business objectives.

  • Participate in portfolio reviews, budgeting forums, performance reviews, and governance meetings.

  • Lead, coach, and develop Asset Managers within the assigned portfolio or hub structure.

  • Establish clear objectives, performance expectations, and development plans for team members.

  • Promote knowledge sharing, standardization, and continuous improvement across geographies.

  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure operations, or asset management.

  • Demonstrated experience managing utility-scale renewable energy assets, including solar, wind, BESS, or other energy infrastructure.

  • Experience managing operational budgets, service providers, and cross-functional stakeholder relationships.

  • Experience leading teams in a matrix environment.

  • Knowledge of energy markets, grid operations, operational performance management, and regulatory frameworks is considered an advantage.

  • Strong understanding of renewable energy asset management and operational performance drivers.

  • Solid financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and asset-level profitability.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional organizations without direct authority.

  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives across a complex and geographically distributed portfolio.

  • High level of accountability, ownership, and business orientation.

  • Fluent English required; additional European languages are considered an advantage.
