ITDS in Warsaw is seeking an Applied AI Researcher to join a leading global investment bank's AI research team. You will contribute to high-impact AI/ML projects across NLP, deep learning, and time series analysis, shaping finance through innovation and technical excellence.

Your role involves leading development and deployment of AI models for financial applications, collaborating across teams to implement scalable solutions, and mentoring junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, ML, or related field.
• 5+ years of AI/ML research and engineering experience.
• Experience building, deploying and maintaining ML models in production.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with NLP, deep learning, and time series analysis.

• 23 100 - 33 600 PLN/monthly + VAT

As an Applied AI Researcher, you will be working for our client, a leading global investment bank, within their pioneering AI research team dedicated to transforming financial services through advanced AI and machine learning solutions. Contribute to high-impact projects across natural language processing, deep learning, and time series analysis, shaping the future of finance through innovation and technical excellence.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead the development and deployment of innovative AI/ML models tailored for financial applications.
• Collaborate across teams to implement scalable AI solutions in complex, real-world environments.
• Drive research initiatives to advance natural language processing, deep learning, and information retrieval capabilities.
• Optimize machine learning models for performance, robustness, and production readiness.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of AI infrastructure and processes.
• Mentor junior team members and share insights to foster a culture of innovation.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• A Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in AI/ML research and engineering within industry.
• Proven expertise in building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models in production environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with NLP, deep learning, and time series analysis in high-stakes environments.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in financial markets, including equities or fixed income.
• Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or active community participation.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization, or scalable ML infrastructure.

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent English (spoken and written).
