Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solution is seeking an Applied AI Research Engineer to support AI/ML projects at a leading global investment firm. You will collaborate on production ML systems, design agentic AI solutions, and develop testable, production-grade code in a challenging financial context.

The role requires a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field, 5+ years of software/AI experience, hands-on with LLMs, and production experience.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in CS/ML/Math/Stats/Physics/Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of industry software engineering and AI/ML experience.
• 3+ years of AI experience or extensive ML experience.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic AI development.
• Experience developing software for quantitative investment workflows in equities, fixed income, or multi-asset strategies.
• Strong programming in Python; Java or C++ also relevant.
• Experience taking AI/ML solutions into production is preferred.

As its research team continues to grow, they are looking for an Applied AI Research Engineer to support AI and machine learning projects at the firm, including deep learning, natural language processing, information retrieval, time series analysis, recommender systems, and more.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with colleagues to advance production machine-learning systems and applications.

• A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• 5+ years of industry experience demonstrating strong software engineering and AI/ML expertise.
• 3+ years of AI experience, or extensive ML experience.
• Hands‑on experience with LLMs and agentic AI development.
• Experience developing software for quantitative investment workflows in equities, fixed income, or multi-asset strategies.
• Strong programming skills, preferably in Python. Experience with Java or C++ is also relevant.
• Experience taking AI/ML solutions into production is preferred.

What you will get:

• 6-month B2B or full-time contract, based on your preference, with further extension.
• Salary range: 20,000-24,000 PLN gross (FTE contract) / 180-200 PLN per hour net (B2B contract).
