About the role

We are looking for an experienced professional who will help us develop WSI Europe’s capabilities in manual and automated orbital TIG (GTAW) welding of piping systems.

The position combines hands‑on welding expertise, supervision of work carried out at industrial sites, team development and technical support during tender preparation. We are looking for someone who not only understands orbital welding technology but can also independently prepare the process, program equipment, troubleshoot technical issues and transfer knowledge to other employees.

Your responsibilities?
  • Coordinate daily warehouse, logistics, procurement and supply chain activities.
  • preparing, commissioning and optimising orbital TIG welding processes for piping systems;
  • programming and troubleshooting automated orbital welding heads;
  • planning and supervising welding work, from joint preparation and fit‑up through inspection and documentation handover;
  • assessing when orbital welding is technically and economically justified and when manual TIG welding would be more appropriate;
  • analysing the causes of welding non‑conformities and implementing actions to reduce repair and rejection rates;
  • cooperating with Quality, Welding Engineering, Project Management and Sales teams, as well as client representatives and inspectors;
  • supporting the planning of NDT inspections and analysing their results;
  • developing and managing a training programme for welders and orbital welding operators;
  • providing hands‑on training and preparing employees for qualification tests;
  • supporting tender preparation by estimating productivity, cycle times, material, gas and equipment requirements, and access limitations;
  • participating in projects at industrial sites in Poland and abroad.
Our expectations:
  • at least five years of practical piping welding experience, including a minimum of two to three years of hands‑on orbital TIG welding;
  • practical experience in setting up, programming and operating automated orbital welding equipment;
  • experience in piping repairs and tie‑ins to existing installations;
  • very good knowledge of manual and orbital TIG welding;
  • experience in welding carbon steel and stainless steel;
  • ability to read piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, weld maps, weld numbering and quality documentation;
  • knowledge of WPS/WPQR requirements for welders and welding operators;
  • knowledge of ISO 14732, ISO 9606, ISO 15614 or ASME BPVC Section IX;
  • knowledge of requirements for industrial piping systems, such as ASME B31.3 or EN 13480;
  • English at a minimum B2 level, enabling technical communication with clients, inspectors and project teams;
  • willingness to travel internationally on a frequent basis and work shifts, including night shifts;
  • Category B driving licence;
  • medical fitness to work at industrial sites, at heights and, where required by the project, in confined spaces.
Nice to have:
  • experience in the power generation, petrochemical, oil and gas, nuclear or other heavy‑industry sectors;
  • experience in welding duplex and superduplex stainless steels, chromium‑molybdenum steels or nickel alloys;
  • familiarity with equipment manufactured by companies such as Polysoude, Orbitalum, Arc Machines or Fronius;
  • IWE, IWT or IWS qualification;
  • knowledge of ISO 14731 and ISO 3834 requirements;
  • experience in delivering technical training and developing welder qualifications
What we Offer:
  • the opportunity to work within an international organisation that is a leading provider of anti‑corrosion protection services;
  • a real influence on the development of new welding technology and capabilities within WSI Europe;
  • the opportunity to develop working standards and a training programme for orbital welding operators;
  • participation in international industrial projects;
  • cooperation with experienced Welding Engineering, Quality, Project Management and Sales teams;
  • access to specialist equipment and opportunities for further technical development;
  • work based in Radom, with the possibility of partial hybrid working depending on current project requirements.
