Job summary

InPost is seeking an experienced engineering leader to steer AI-native product development across the Group. You will shape AI engineering strategy, set development standards, and partner with product, data, and technology stakeholders to translate business goals into technology plans.

You will lead a 10–15 person AI team, drive ML-powered product initiatives, and build backend platforms scalable to multiple product lines. Hybrid work from Warsaw or Kraków is available.

Qualifications

• Have at least seven years of post-BS or post-MS experience in an engineering role.
• Experience leading high-performing Agile development teams and a strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.
• Have a proven track record of delivering scaled, impactful products powered by machine learning.
• Know how to build backend platforms capable of supporting multiple product lines.
• Combine strong technical judgment with ownership of results, quality, and team development.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and can influence, negotiate, and translate business objectives into technology decisions.
• Work independently, take ownership of decisions, and approach challenges with creativity and pragmatism.
• Are fluent in both Polish and English.
• Hold a university degree in computer science, mathematics, econometrics, statistics, or another related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team of 10–15 people working with AI technologies.
• Own the AI Engineering strategy and contribute to ML-powered products.
• Partner with product managers to define requirements, priorities, delivery plans, features.
• Establish standards for AI-native products, including CI/CD with evals, test sets, and search subsystems.
• Select and implement tools, including MCP Servers, A2A communication, CI/CD pipelines.
• Guide AI-native workflows involving streaming, long-running tasks, and procedural UX.
• Improve system architecture and engineering processes to enhance product functionality.
• Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and professional development of team members.
• Collaborate with strategic vendors and technology partners.
