Job summary
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Solution Architect (Software Engineering) to guide the evolution of our software platform and shape its long-term technical direction. You will collaborate with development teams, business stakeholders, and Global IT to design solutions that are maintainable, scalable, and ready for future challenges.
This role emphasizes architecture, documentation, stakeholder alignment, and driving technical initiatives, including AI-driven solutions and modern engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software development.
- At least 2 years leading technical initiatives or cross-team engineering efforts.
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and lifecycle management.
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and modern application platforms.
- Experience with .NET technologies and large-scale environments.
- Experience in industrial/engineering or complex domains.
- Experience introducing AI-assisted solutions or Generative AI in enterprise environments.
- Experience working in international and cross-functional organizations.
- Azure-related certifications would be an advantage.
- Very good English skills for international communication.
Responsibilities
- Define solution architectures and technical approaches for new initiatives and platform enhancements.
- Collaborate with development teams, business stakeholders, and Global IT to align requirements and technical decisions.
- Create and maintain architecture documentation, technical standards, and design guidelines.
- Lead technical discussions and support teams in solving complex engineering challenges.
- Evaluate new technologies and identify opportunities to improve products, processes, and developer productivity.
- Drive innovation initiatives, including AI adoption and modern software engineering practices.
