Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY SERVICES SP. Z O.O. is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to design, operate, and evolve the Global AI Platform with secure, governed access to AI capabilities.

You will collaborate across engineering, security, infrastructure, and business teams to enable AI adoption at scale. The role requires 5+ years in platform or cloud engineering, strong Azure experience (Azure Foundry, APIM, DevOps), and hands-on IaC with Terraform and AI gateway tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years in platform/cloud engineering or infrastructure roles, preferably with AI/ML exposure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure including Azure AI Foundry, APIM, and DevOps.
• Hands-on IaC with Terraform and multi-environment deployment strategies.
• Experience with AI gateways or API gateway technologies for managing AI/LLM access.
• Familiarity with AI platform concepts such as model lifecycle and guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve the Global AI Platform with scalable, secure access.
• Operate core platform components like Azure Foundry, APIM, and gateways.
• Monitor health, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure continuous performance.
• Manage onboarding of new use cases and configuring integrations.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code to enable repeatable deployments.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines to support platform lifecycle management.
• Establish governance, access policies, and guardrails for AI services.
• Collaborate with architects, data scientists, and apps teams for AI use cases.
