Job summary

Ring is seeking an Application Builder to craft next-generation experiences in the Ring app. You’ll ship native code with Android focus, Kotlin, Java, and AI-assisted development tools, collaborating with engineers across the lifecycle.

You’ll build features for Android and contribute on iOS where needed, work with product and backend teams, and help improve architecture, performance, and observability in a fast-growing home security platform.

Qualifications

• Experience programming with at least one software language.
• Experience contributing to architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• Non-internship experience in professional software development.
• Android mobile app development experience in Java and Kotlin.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship features for the Ring app, primarily on Android and some iOS.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code with performance and reliability in mind.
• Use AI-powered development tools across daily tasks: code generation, testing, reviews, debugging, and documentation.
• Contribute to evolving team architecture and improve friction points.
