Job summary

Sigma Software is seeking a Software Architect to lead MCP-based integration design, focusing on Node.js and AI orchestration within a FinTech context in Europe. You will shape scalable foundations, develop reusable platform components, and drive architecture standards across teams.

You will mentor engineers, ensure security and resilience, and collaborate with multiple product teams to align engineering practices with enterprise goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software architecture or tech lead roles.
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js expertise.
• Experience with MCP clients, servers, tools and LLM tool invocation.
• English level: upper-intermediate or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core MCP platform capabilities, including MCP clients, servers, tool invocation patterns, and integrations with existing backend services.
• Define reference architectures and engineering standards for MCP servers, tools, resources, schemas, authentication, context handling, and versioning.
• Build reusable TypeScript/Node.js libraries, SDKs, templates, and starter projects for product teams.
• Design shared capabilities around conversation state, agent state, context management, and orchestration workflows.
• Establish architectural guidance for selecting between MCP, A2A communication, traditional APIs, and service-to-service integration patterns.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to review solution designs and document best practices.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership in AI integration and platform engineering initiatives.
• Ensure platform scalability, maintainability, security, and operational excellence.
• Define architecture vision and technical standards for enterprise-wide MCP adoption.
• Drive cross-team technical alignment and support strategic architecture decisions.
