Job summary

Shiftmove is seeking an Accounts Payables Specialist for France to join our international finance team. You will own the end-to-end accounts payable process for French and German entities, ensuring VAT accuracy, proper bookings, and timely supplier payments.

Based in or working across Europe, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain strong vendor records, and contribute to month-end closings while driving process improvements in a post-merge environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable in international/multi-entity environments.
• Experience with French entities or within a French accounting environment.
• Understanding of French VAT rules and supplier invoice requirements.
• Knowledge of French accounting principles - Plan Comptable Général (French GAAP).
• Experience with ERP systems (Netsuite is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in English and French.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End AP Ownership: Manage Accounts Payable for our French and German entities, including employee expense reimbursements and corporate credit card transactions, ensuring strict compliance with local legal and tax requirements across all operations.
• Precision Booking: Process and verify supplier invoices with a hawk-eye for detail, ensuring correct TVA treatment and adherence to Plan Comptable Général.
• Treasury and Reconciliation: Prepare and execute supplier payments, maintain accurate vendor records, and resolve discrepancies through proactive account reconciliations.
• Closing Excellence: Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities on the AP side.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the reflection and implementation of scalable AP workflows as we grow.
