Job summary

Shiftmove is seeking an Accounts Payables Specialist for France to join our multinational finance team. You will manage AP for our French and German entities, ensuring compliance with TVA and local accounting standards, while supporting payments and vendor records.

You will work with an international team across Paris, Aix-en-Provence, Berlin, and Wroclaw, applying your expertise in French GAAP and process optimization to improve workflows and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable, ideally in international or multi-entity environments.
• Basic knowledge of French accounting principles (Plan Comptable Général) would be a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems (Netsuite a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); French or German language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End AP Ownership: Manage Accounts Payable for our French and German entities, including employee expense reimbursements and corporate credit card transactions, ensuring strict compliance with local legal and tax requirements across all operations
• Precision Booking: Process and verify supplier invoices with a hawk-eye for detail, ensuring correct VAT (TVA) treatment and adherence to the Plan Comptable Général
• Treasury and Reconciliation: Prepare and execute supplier payments, maintain accurate vendor records, and resolve discrepancies through proactive account reconciliations
• Closing Excellence: Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities on the AP side
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to scalable AP workflows as we grow
